Hot
It is hot today. It was hot yesterday. Usually living in Huntington Beach, you do not experience much hot. Therefore homes are built without air conditioning. Poor little baby has heat rash on his cheeks. Luke has napped with the fan on him today, but it was still 83 degrees inside. I also put a cool wet washcloth on his head. Tomorrow promises to be better.

I feel your pain! After our prolonged power outage in Houston, I know full well that heat is no fun at all for babies, especially while they are sleeping. I highly recommend stripping baby to diaper and putting an oscillating fan in the room. Also, a cool bath before sleep helps. Luke is probably too little for this, but I put an icy waterbottle in bed with Clara, next to her chest, to cool her off in the extreme heat. And don't forget cornstarch for the rash--that stuff works wonders!
