And doesn't it really make you want to be a better person when you read about the Ingalls family and how they determined to be cheerful and create a loving home in spite of what many of us would consider unbearable circumstances? I'm so glad you and Luke and Rebekah are reading the books!!Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04237070073853137671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101985441767221193.post-26349369240556112842012-03-15T20:12:08.611-05:002012-03-15T20:12:08.611-05:00I just finished reading thru the series again. Yes there are so many life lessons that we need too. I have collected some of the sayings from Laura, have thot of posting them somewhere:) And I give a hearty amen to reading with your kids, the good stuff-only the good stuff. (And I too remember getting way too many junk books from the library!) Oh Luke and Rebekah are so blessed to have YOU! mmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101985441767221193.post-22440703286518648552012-03-15T18:30:30.697-05:002012-03-15T18:30:30.697-05:00I love Laura Ingalls Wilder too, Katie, for the re...I love Laura Ingalls Wilder too, Katie, for the reasons you stated. There are so many good life lessons to learn from in there. I read the first couple of books to my summer school classes and they all loved them. I've been fortunate to visit the Ingalls homestead in DeSmet, South Dakota a few times-the first time as a twelve-year-old when the show was still on TV.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13762937850664394019noreply@blogger.com
